General Info:
Parys is part of the Vredefort-dome that stretches as far as Johannesburg. In the Parys district it consists of pink granite "koppies" and has an unique eco system, hosting many a tree and shrub that are exotic to the area. Birds abound and even a lone leopard has been recorded.
