General info
From Kambeek the Orange River runs through a dramatic series of desert-mountains,
with islands forming a myriad of channels and rapids.
The islands vary in size and some are up to 40 km in length.
Fish Eagle, Kingfishers and Vervet monkeys abound in these overgrown areas.
Other wild life consists of wading birds like the Goliath Heron and the African Jacana.
Quite a few baboons are living in the mountains next to the river.
